Mary Ann Bartels is responsible for leading the Portfolio Strategies Desk, ETF strategies, and marketing and communications for Merrill Lynch's Investment Management and Guidance's content platform, product launches and publications. With more than 25 years of investment experience, she is an Institutional Investor-ranked analyst and was voted to the Institutional Investor All-American Research team from 2006-2011. She appears regularly on CNBC and Bloomberg, and is often quoted in various publications, including The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times and Barron's.

Ethan Harris is responsible for the U.S. growth, inflation and monetary policy call at BofA Merrill Lynch Global Research. He also coordinates the global economics forecast and publication and manages the developed markets economics team. Harris regularly ranks highly in investor polls and forecast surveys. Previously, Harris was the chief U.S. economist at Lehman Brothers. He also worked as an economist at Barclays and JP Morgan and spent nine years at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where he was an assistant to the president and head of the Domestic Research Division.

Michael Hartnett identifies key global market trends and offers strategic insights and solutions to institutional and retail investor clients. In addition, he serves on the Research Investment Committee (RIC), which identifies suitable investments and portfolio strategies for individual investors across a broad spectrum of asset classes. Previously, he served as director of European Equity Strategy in London, and from 1998 to 2001 he had been in New York serving as senior international economist and global macro strategist. He joined Merrill Lynch in 1995 as chief economist in Japan, where he was based until 1998. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, Hartnett served as chief economist for Smith New Court in Tokyo, which was acquired by Merrill Lynch in 1995. From 1990 to 1995 he was an economist at the United Kingdom fund manager Schroder's in London and Tokyo.

Christopher M. Hyzy develops, manages and oversees the investment process, determines the investment view of the firm, and develops and manages the asset allocation strategy, investment policies and guidance of the firm. He is also responsible for the development and execution of investment strategy including overall portfolio management, specialty asset management, institutional investment, wealth planning and trading for U.S. Trust and serves as the current chairman of the Investment Strategy Committee. Prior to his current role, he served as the chief investment strategist for U.S. Trust.

Martin Mauro provides investment ideas and strategies to the firm's Financial Advisors and individual clients. He develops macro investment ideas and specific strategies for government bonds, corporate bonds and preferred securities in the U.S. and globally. Mauro co-authors the firm's RIC Report, and is the lead analyst on the Fixed Income Digest, the Preferred Relative Value List, and The Quarterly Guide to Preferred Securities. Previously, he held the role of manager of Financial Economics, responsible for providing forecasts for the economy and the Fed to the fixed-income trading and sales force. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch in 1981, he worked at the U.S. Department of Labor and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. He is a contributor to The Handbook of Municipal Bonds, published in 2008 and edited by Frank Fabozzi and Sylvan Feldstein.
 
Savita Subramanian

Savita Subramanian is responsible for recommending U.S. sector allocations for equities and determining forecasts for the S&P 500 and other major U.S. indices, as well as developing and marketing the firm's quantitative equity strategy to institutional and individual clients. Subramanian has been with the Quantitative team since 2001, and her team is ranked in the Institutional Investor and Greenwich surveys. Prior to joining the firm, Subramanian was an analyst at Scudder Kemper Investments in New York and San Francisco. Subramanian frequently appears in television and print journalism and is a regular guest speaker at financial conferences. She is on the membership committee of Q Group and is a member of the Chicago Quantitative Alliance, the Society of Quantitative Analysts and Women on Wall Street.
